I watched The Holiday an hour ago. It was lovely.
Quoting from Iris:
"You find that you're feeling as small and insignificant as humanly possible. And how it can actually ache in places you didn't know you had inside you. And it doesn't matter how many new hair cuts you get, or somethings you join, or how many glasses of champagne you drink with your girlfriends, you still go to bed every night going over every detail and wonder what you did wrong or how you could have misunderstood. And how for that brief moment you could think that you were that happy and sometimes you could convince yourself that he'll see the light and show up at you door. And after all that, however long all that may be, you'll go somewhere new, and you'll meet people who'll make you feel worthwhile again, and the pieces of your soul will finally come back."
The movie made me remember how sometimes you cry, for a reason that you've never once cried before. And as warm tears fall from your eyes you smile, because you're both sad and intrigued at the same time. It just can't be helped.
My blogskin is tired, it has seen and read so much. I think it's time for change...
