I don't know whether it's gay or sweet when the guy openly shows his feelings for the lady.

I mean, naturally if the guy you like does it for you, you'd like it.
But then... hmm
I guess it depends on the degree of exaggeration.
Well... at least if your guy openly shows his feelings for you, then you know that he's proud of having you. If he hides it then... you'd feel bad, of course.
